Bread for the World, Washington, D.C.

Bread for the World is a collective Christian voice urging our nation’s decision makers to end hunger at home and abroad. Bread works in partnership with churches, campuses and other organizations to mobilize Christians and others in the United States. Bread’s goal is to help end hunger by 2030 by seeking long-term solutions to hunger and advocating on legislation that addresses the root causes of hunger.

Project title: Leadership to Address Structural Inequity for a Collective Christian Voice to End Hunger

Bread for the World will establish a leadership team of board members and management staff to help Bread for the World engage more deeply with the underlying causes of structural inequities in its work to change the conditions under which hunger and poverty exist. The leadership team will participate in training by Race Forward: The Center for Racial Justice Innovation to gain a common understanding of structural inequities and how to apply a racial equity lens to Bread for the World’s policy change agenda and mobilization of faith voices pushing for policy change.
